    Washington, DC – Representatives of the Postal Regulatory Commission met with the Software and Information Industry Association at Commission offices on March 18, 2015. The meeting was an informational discussion on current trends in the industry. Pending (or anticipated) postal matters before the Commission were not discussed, nor did deliberations or decisional discussions take place during this meeting.

    Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission will host an off-the-record technical conference on March 18, 2015, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Commission offices at 901 New York Ave. NW, Suite 200 Washington, DC 20268. The conference is open to all persons interested in the Postal Service’s service performance measurement systems proposals. The Postal Service will outline the proposals contained within its plan, and be available to answer questions.

    Washington, DC – Today the Postal Regulatory Commission returned proposed rate adjustments for Standard Mail, Periodicals, and Package Services classes to the Postal Service to allow for modifications that comply with applicable legal requirements. The rate increases are proposed to be implemented April 26, 2015.

    Washington, DC – Today the Postal Regulatory Commission issued Order No. 2365­­­­­­ on Price Adjustments for First-Class Mail finding the Postal Service pricing proposals to be consistent with the Consumer Price Index based price cap under the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006, 39 U.S.C. 3622(d)(1)(A). The new prices will take effect April 26, 2015.

    Washington, DC- Effective January 1, 2015, the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) voted recently to designate Commissioner Tony Hammond as Vice Chairman of the PRC, succeeding Commissioner Mark Acton. PRC regulations provide that the Commissioners elect a member to serve as Vice Chairman for a term of one year.

    Washington, DC – Today Tony Hammond and Nanci E. Langley were sworn in as Commissioners at the Postal Regulatory Commission by Acting Chairman Robert G. Taub. They return to the Commission after having first been appointed in 2002 and 2008, respectively.
